Local Gold Coast builders Glenzeil, Delfin and Gold Coast City Council do not care one little bit about the impact they leave on Varsity Lakes residents. I have had so many heated conversations with them and quite simply all my complaints are ignored, not one resident of Watts Drive has ever received a written letter from Glenzeil apologising for the inconveniences they are causing to us. The only day you can sleep in is a Sunday and then there is no point you need to get up and spend you day cleaning around your property from the filthy mess created from the Glenzeil building site.
Local residents have had enough says Paul Klerck of 13 Watts Drive we live and operate our business from our property. I have had my HSV GTS damaged twice out the front and my wife’s Hyundai i30 damaged twice by heavy commercial vehicles using our street as an entry and exit point to the building site. The latest damage has been caused by a concrete pumping truck from Classic Concrete Pumping, but as usual they will try and duck for cover. This is not right so much damage to our property everyday all so they can make a buck. “Greedy Bastards” we really have lost our values in Australia. I will not claim this damage on my insurance because the excess will be to much. So I am reporting to the police and will give it to my lawyer as he believes I have a strong case against Glenzeil, Delfin and the Gold Coast City Council for all my damages and costs.
All residents are sick and tired of the filthy mess we are left to clean up on a daily basis, rubbish, cigarette butts not to mention listening to the filthy colourful language we hear on a daily basis from the Glenzeil building site. I have approached Martin Shed of Delfin and our complaints fall on deaf ears. Why would Delfin care they have got their money from residents they could not give a stuff about any of us now.
Out of desperation I have spoken to our local member for council Jan Grew’s office, but this is useless as well quite simply they do not care about us, all they care about is being greedy bastards and commercial gains. Does the Gold Coast City Council make a rate reduction to residents for the dramas and issues they go through? No they get all the money for building approvals etc and screw everyone else.
Shame on Glenzeil Builders, Shame on Delfin Varsity Lakes and Shame of the Gold Coast City Council.
Well Jan Grew, Glenzeil and Delfin it is time the residents of Varsity Lakes have a real voice to represent them in local government. So I am now officially putting you on notice that I will be running for local council so that the people can have a voice instead of being treated like mushrooms. “Kept in the dark and fed bullshit”
