In recent times we have been making a lot of bookings for disappointed holiday makers that have purchased holiday club memberships via fast talking quick mouthed high pressure sales people flogging travel vouchers.
From our research most of the Holiday Clubs have set up business in tourism hot spots like the Gold Coast and real deals are few and far between the cheap talk flows. Most of these rip off merchants provide glossy magazines and plastic membership cards with huge promisses of massive discounts, just wait till you try and book your holiday this is when all the fun begins of disclaimers and the fine print.
My advice to anybody looking at a holiday club membership would be to do your research first there is no such thing as a free lunch and the old saying buyer beware rings so true. Don’t be bullied into the old smart talk of we have a secured special discounts the truth is nothing is secured and these bogus operators are simply selling you accommodation that was over priced in the first place and then applying so called discounts on rack rates.
If you are going to book accommodation make sure you book with an accommodation supplier that delivers on what they say not on a promise that never happens.
InfoLink IT is in the final stages of finalising their new Australian Complaints portal and will be live by the first of 7th September 2009, we encourage anybody that has been ripped off or treated wrongly to lodge a complaint we will moderate it from this point to help assist you in resolving you issues.
If you have been rippped off by a holiday club membership tell us your story, we want to know, so do the public.
